So we headed up north, about an hour or so from home.

The rain made the colors rich and the ground soggy.
We discovered fairy trees, edible plants and animal shelters.
We were talking too much to hear the birds but I'm sure they heard us.
Magical! What a beautiful place. And how funny about the orchids, they seem to be popping up every where I look since I read 'The Orchid Thief'.

ReplyDeleteactually, Tasmania and many 'mountain' areas of Australia are as verdant as this. But where I am...not so much.
