The short trail - Waterbury

So we headed up north, about an hour or so from home.

Charlie still in his bathers.

The rain made the colors rich and the ground soggy.

We discovered fairy trees, edible plants and animal shelters.

We were talking too much to hear the birds but I'm sure they heard us.

  1. Magical! What a beautiful place. And how funny about the orchids, they seem to be popping up every where I look since I read 'The Orchid Thief'.
P.S. It just took me three attempts to type 'thief' without a spelling error; I'm tired and I think I must need to go to bed. And it's ridiculously early!

  3. actually, Tasmania and many 'mountain' areas of Australia are as verdant as this. But where I am...not so much.
